Assistant to Full Member - Immunology
The Department of Immunology (https://www.roswellpark.org/research/departments/immunology) at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center, an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY, invites applications for faculty positions at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level to join our highly collaborative team at the cutting-edge of tumor immunology and immunotherapy research.
Founded in 1898 as the first institution in the world to focus exclusively on cancer and recognized in 1972 as one of the three original NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers, Roswell Park offers unique and exciting opportunities to establish or grow a basic, translational, and/or clinical research program aimed at benefitting patients with cancer. The Department of Immunology is well-positioned, with a well-funded and highly collaborative team of investigators, to foster innovative research in tumor immunology and immunotherapy.
Applicants studying any aspect of tumor immunology or immunotherapy are encouraged to apply; however, special consideration will be given to those focused on the tumor microenvironment, immuno-metabolomics, computational immunology, or fundamental lymphocyte biology. Candidates should have a PhD, MD, DO, or MD-PhD degree and accomplishments commensurate with their desired rank. Ideal candidates at the Associate or Full Professor rank will have current peer-reviewed funding and a documented ability to maintain a productive and impactful research program, while candidates at the Assistant Professor rank will demonstrate this potential.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive start-up package, contribute to the Cancer Sciences Graduate Education Program (https://www.roswellpark.org/education) at Roswell Park, and have the opportunity to participate as a preceptor in the NCI T32-funded Tumor Immunology Graduate Training Program (T32CA085183). Laboratory space will be provided in the modern 300,000 sq ft Life Sciences Complex on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus. This multidisciplinary research environment provides access to numerous state-of-the-art Shared Resources (https://www.roswellpark.org/shared-resources), the opportunity to be part of and interact extensively with Roswell Park CCSG Scientific Programs (https://www.roswellpark.org/research/ccsg-research-programs), and the ability to conduct patient-oriented translational research in collaboration with Roswell Park clinicians.
Salary range is $98,456 - $236,512 which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Doctoral degree in an appropriate scientific or clinical-based discipline and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in an applicable scientific or clinical research environment.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
The preferred candidate will have potential to develop and maintain an outstanding independent research program within the Immunology department.
